Background
5-HT4 receptor agonists augment neuronal acetylcholine release (Ansanay et al., 1995; Torres et al., 1995) as well as modulate levels of Aβ and soluble amyloid precursor protein alpha (sAPPα) (Lezoualc’h & Robert., 2003; Robert et al., 2001).
