These are significant findings, suggesting a role for truncated alphaSyn in the pathogenesis of alphaSyn aggregation and disease, whereby incomplete degradation of alphaSyn may produce highly amyloidogenic fragments that contribute to the aggregation of full-length alphaSyn.
