  2. EGCG is a frequent hitter in HTS, like many catechols. It was reported to inhibit BACE and the 20 S proteasome. Care has to be taken to work under inert atmosphere in order to avoid oxidation-derived artefacts. It's abundant in food and beverages, but does that make it a good starting point for drug development?
