This paper reports that the 234 bp allele of D10S1423 in conjunction with APOE4 is a strong predictor of AD. However, this is based upon only 18 incident cases of AD, thus more data is required to see if this holds up in larger samples. The marker is on the very edge of the chromosome 10 linkage peak reported by several groups last year.
