  1. This is a very interesting paper. It presents data in which two different imaging techniques were used to examine amyloid load and microglial activation in a small sample of patients with AD, MCI, or no cognitive impairment. The data address the issue of whether microglial activation accompanies amyloid deposition early in AD and provides some evidence that it does not.
