  1. Smith et al study the relationship between oxidative stress and amyloid-beta deposition in the brains of transgenic mice. They find that markers for oxidative stress co-localize with amyloid deposits in the transgenic mouse brains. Significance of the findings in relation to AD is limited in that no link is developed between either amyloid or oxidative stress and neuronal degeneration in AD.
