This is an interesting study. I am, however, a little confused as to how the results that earlier onset of AD correlates with more pathology (synapse, tangles, and plaques) argue for the cognitive reserve idea. The current finding is more in line with the trend that early onset of most diseases of adulthood tend to progress at a faster pace.
