D'Adamio Is This Year's Alzheimer Award Winner

The Journal of Alzheimer's Disease has awarded the 2001 Alzheimer Medal to Luciano D'Adamio for his article, "Generation of an apoptotic intracellular peptide by γ-secretase cleavage of Alzheimer's amyloid-β protein precursor," as the best to appear in the previous year's volume of the journal. The award is sponsored by Elan Pharmaceuticals. The recipient will receive the Alzheimer Medal.
