Progressive Supranuclear Palsy vs Alzheimer's Disease: neurogranin (CSF)
In our meta-analysis of three studies, the levels of neurogranin in the cerebrospinal fluid of people with progressive supranuclear palsy were found to be half those of people with Alzheimer's disease (effect size = 0.503, p <0.0001). For comparison, CSF neruogranin in control subjects is approximately 60 percent that of people with Alzheimer's disease.
