The Alzheimer's Study Group (ASG), the non-partisan task force charged with crafting a national strategy to deal with the nation’s growing Alzheimer disease problem, this week released its final report. Readers can download the report from the ASG website. The website also links through to C-SPAN for a hearing held 25 March before the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging that officially concluded the ASG's work, as well as to an NPR show on which Newt Gingrich, Sandra Day O’Connor, and David Satcher discuss the group’s recommendations for how the nation should tackle the mounting challenges of Alzheimer disease. Feedback about the Strategic Plan, or this week’s news events around its release, is welcome—just type into the comment box on this page.—Gabrielle Strobel.
