Findings

This variant was found in one Alzheimer’s disease subject in a sample of 1779 AD cases and 1273 controls from the Alzheimer Disease Exome Sequencing France (ADESFR) project (Campion et al., 2019).

In a study that included 15,808 Alzheimer’s cases and 16,097 control subjects from multiple European and American cohorts, including ADESFR, this allele was observed twice among the AD cases (Holstege et al., 2022).

Functional Consequences

The A2072V variant was predicted to be deleterious by SIFT and Mutation Taster, but benign by PolyPhen-2 (Campion et al., 2019).
