Description

The University of Colorado is seeking to recruit a postdoctoral research associate to work on a recently funded NIH project examining the role of dsRNA accumulation in neurodegenerative diseases.

The post-doctoral position would be supported for up to four years on a recently funded NIA R01 jointly run by Drs. Chris Link and Hoeffer in the Department of Integrative Physiology and Institute for Behavioral Genetics.

Requirements

Expertise in molecular biology (e.g., RNA and protein purification) and mammalian cell culture (e.g., human iPSCs) is desired, and bioinformatics experience would be a plus. The salary will be the NIH-NIA standard for experience, and reasonable moving costs will be covered.

The minimum requirements are a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent terminal degree. Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, a statement of research interests, one to three sample research papers, and names and contact information for three professional references.
