Description

The Department of Neuroscience at the University of Kentucky (UK) is seeking an outstanding Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. candidate to fill a tenure-track, full-time, open-rank (assistant/associate/full) faculty position in the area of translational neuroimaging/neuroscience. UK is especially interested in collaborative neuroscientists with expertise in developing cutting-edge neuroimaging methods and their application to the study of age-related diseases such as cerebrovascular disease and Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.

This position will link extensive resources and expertise in neuroimaging, aging, dementia and cerebrovascular disease in place at UK, including the Magnetic Resonance Imaging & Spectroscopy Center (MRISC), the Sanders- Brown Center on Aging (SBCoA), and the Kentucky Neuroscience Institute (KNI).

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in neuroscience or related field.
  • Ability to develop and lead a program of independent extramurally funded research.
  • An excellent track record of publications using neuroimaging (MRI and or PET).
  • Ability and interest in mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students.
