Description
Banner is seeking an experienced and highly motivated biomarker laboratory manager to lead its new dynamic research team. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring the accurate identification, analysis, and interpretation of biomarkers associated with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. This role is crucial for the advancement of Banner's research and the development of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all laboratory activities related to biomarker research.
Supervise, teach, and mentor laboratory technicians and junior researchers, providing guidance and support.
Oversee and perform the preparation and processing of biological samples, including blood, cerebrospinal fluid, and tissue.
Ensure the accurate and efficient execution of advanced laboratory techniques. Maintain rigorous documentation of experimental procedures, results, and protocols.
Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including scientists, clinicians, and external partners (e.g., industry, and clinical trials).
Stay current with advancements in Alzheimer's disease research and biomarker technology
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in life/health sciences or related field.
Four (4) years of clinical research experience, including experience in clinical operations.
Demonstrated ability preparing study budgets and working with sponsors.
Must qualify as a technical supervisor as defined under CLIA ’88.
Strong organization and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Superior problem-solving capability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Working knowledge regarding applicable clinical research regulatory requirements.
Comfortable and capable of learning new methodologies and operating systems in a timely manner, including multiple Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
