Award
This is a global prize rewarding the best PhD thesis work in life science. Applicants for the prize must have received their Ph.D. between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2024. To enter the competition, applicants submit an essay based on their thesis. The editorial board of Science will select a winner from each the following categories: Cell and Molecular Biology; Genomics, Proteomics and Systems Biology Approaches; Ecology and Environment; and Molecular Medicine. The grand prize winner will receive a prize of US$30,000; each of the other three category winners will receive US$10,000. The grand prize-winning essay will be published in Science and essays from the other category winners will be published online.
