The symposium is organized by the departments of Nuclear Medicine and Psychiatry of the Technical University of Munich. Leading international scientists are invited as speakers. The emphasis of the meeting is twofold: 1) application of new and established imaging procedures in the assessment of dementia in humans (PET, amyloid plaque imaging, MRI, etc.) and 2.) preclinical development and research in animal models (tracer development, new imaging modalities, small animal imaging).
