As at the previous eight meetings, the 2006 Geneva meeting will continue to focus on the most recent advances in the therapy of Alzheimer Disease.

Particular emphasis will be given to clinical trials of novel drugs.We will examine the molecular and pharmacological basis of new clinical approaches and the methods of assessment and diagnosis being used. New applications of imaging techniques (MRI, PET and SPECT) for early diagnosis and treatment will be discussed. Results from large scale MCI studies will be presented and discussed in terms of public health impact.The value of bio-markers and the influence of risk factors on the therapy will be considered. New aspects of pharmacoeconomics will be analyzed.

The conference will be useful to specialists as well as non-specialists in order to understand the present pharmacological approach to the disease.
