This two-day symposium for clinicians and researchers will examine the exciting field of biomarkers for the early and preclinical (i.e., before symptoms) detection of Alzheimer's disease. Four half-day sessions will focus on: (1) Risk Factors for Preclinical AD; (2) Genetic Markers, including quantitative traits, genomics and proteomics; (3) Antecedent Biomarkers for AD, including identification of candidate markers in industry and the new NIA AD Neuroimaging Initiative; and (4) Neuroimaging & Preclinical Detection - including use of PET tracers for amyloid plaques.

Special keynote addresses from internationally prominent investigators will review AD research over the past two decades and suggest future directions.

CALL FOR POSTERS: If you are conducting work in the biomarker field or another related area, please consider submitting an abstract for consideration for our Poster Session. Poster presenters attend the conference for free (i.e., registration is waived). Posters showing the work of industry-based investigators are welcome!
