This is a discussion-oriented workshop that will emphasize an in-depth multidisciplinary discussion on the latest research and new conceptual and experimental approaches aimed at addressing the current gaps in knowledge in the field today. To serve this purpose, the scientific program will be composed of lectures that are intended to review the current state of knowledge on the chemical, biological, and technological aspects of amyloid research and the current gap in knowledge. Each session will include speakers whose work aims to address a specific outstanding key question in the field. Speakers will be asked to include a final slide in their presentations summarizing, in their opinion, the key outstanding questions in the field and/or in their specific area of interest, after which the session chair will open the floor for discussion. We hope that this format will provide the best atmosphere to promote dynamic discussion by all participants.
Short talks: A total of 12 short talks by students, postdocs and other researchers who are interested in applying their scientific approaches, tools, and/or technologies to answer key questions in amyloid research will be included in the scientific program.
