Specificity

recognizes the PKA-dependent phosphorylation of ser409 in tau; immunoreactivity with neurofibrillary pathology in both early and advanced Alzheimer’s disease, but not in normal brain tissue; reacts with only PHF and the tau peptide containing phospho ser409
