Alzheimer's Disease vs Control: YKL-40 (Plasma and Serum)
YKL-40 is thought to be a marker of glial activation and inflammation. Although all five comparisons show increased levels of YKL-40 in plasma in Alzheimer's patients compared with control subjects, meta-analysis of these comparison is only marginally significant (effect size = 2.205, p = 0.0172).
