Overview

Monoclonal antibody 17A12 reacts with the mouse P2Y12 receptor (P2Y12R). In initial testing, the antibody recognized its target on western blots of lysates from HEK293 cells that overexpress mouse P2Y12R. The antibody also stained microglia in mouse brains.

Antibody 17A12 recognizes murine P2Y12R overexpressed in HEK293 cells. Western blot of lysate of HEK cells transfected with empty vector (mock), mouse P2Y12R, myc-tagged mouse P2Y12R, or human P2Y12R, probed with hybridoma supernatant. 17A12 recognizes murine, but not human, P2Y12R. Generation and epitope mapping

This antibody was generated in rats immunized with a peptide from the C-terminal region of murine P2Y12R, coupled to ovalbumin. Epitope mapping has not been reported.

Specificity

On western blots, 17A12 recognizes mouse, but not human, P2Y12R overexpressed in HEK293 cells.

Validation
