Overview

In initial testing on western blots, antibody 22C7 detected myc-tagged, but not untagged, CX3CR1 overexpressed in HEK293 cells. (It is possible that the myc tag stabilizes the CX3CR1 protein.)

22C7 detects myc-tagged human CX3CR1 overexpressed in HEK293 cells. Western blot of lysates from HEK293 cell transfected with empty vector (mock), human CX3CR1, or myc-tagged human CX3CR1, probed with 22C7 hybridoma supernatant. [Courtesy of Christian Haass' laboratory.]

Generation and epitope mapping

This antibody was generated in rats immunized with a peptide from the C-terminal region of human CX3CR1, coupled to ovalbumin. Epitope mapping has not been reported.

Specificity

Monoclonal antibody 22C7 is predicted to react with human CX3CR1.

Validation
