Overview

In initial testing on western blots, antibody 6C10 reacted with all three isoforms of human ApoE overexpressed in CHO cells.

Antibody 6C10 reacts with all three isoforms of human ApoE overexpressed in CHO cells. Western blots of conditioned media from CHO cells transfected with one of the three major alleles of human APOE, probed with 6C10 hybridoma supernatant or a commercially available anti-ApoE antibody (SC-E8; Santa Cruz #sc-393302). -, medium from untransfected CHO cells. Generation and epitope mapping

This antibody was generated in rats immunized with a peptide from the N-terminal region of human ApoE, coupled to ovalbumin. Epitope mapping has not been reported.

Specificity

6C10 recognizes human ApoE.
