Overview

In initial testing on western blots, antibody 26C11 reacted with murine ApoE endogenously expressed by the BV2 microglial cell line. The antibody also stained ApoE associated with amyloid plaques in the brains of APPPS1 mice.

Antibody 26C11 recognizes mouse ApoE endogenously expressed by BV2 cells. Western blots of conditioned media from BV2 cultures, probed with 26C11 hybridoma supernatant and two commercially available anti-ApoE antibodies, Abcam ab183596 and Creative Biolabs HJ6.3. Generation and epitope mapping

This antibody was generated in mice immunized with a peptide from the N-terminal region of mouse ApoE, coupled to ovalbumin. Epitope mapping has not been reported.

Specificity

26C11 recognizes mouse ApoE.
