The Alzheimer’s disease (AD) research field produces a dizzying amount of publications each year. For graduate students and postdocs who enter this field, the learning curve can require many months of independent study just to learn the basics.
Recognizing the need to accelerate this process, the Internationale Stichting Alzheimer Onderzoek (ISAO) and the BrightFocus Foundation are pleased to announce the fourth edition of our three-day educational workshop, “Alzheimer Research from different perspectives.” This “boot camp” approach is organized in collaboration with our scientific partners at the European Graduate School of Neuroscience (EURON).
The goal of the workshop is offer graduate students and postdocs an immersive opportunity to learn and discuss some of the latest trends in Alzheimer’s disease research. The workshop is designed to allow the participants to discuss and receive feedback related to their own research project via discussions, interactive workshops and scientific debates.
The workshop aims to provide graduate students and postdocs a recent overview of current knowledge and new directions in AD research. Workshop sessions are taught by leaders in the field, and emphasize interaction with students and immediate application of new knowledge through exercises such as debate and mock grant proposals.
