The purpose of this symposium is to educate participants on:
the epidemiological and community studies that have examined demographic, medical, psychological and genetic factors that influence progression rates;
how we measure clinical and biological progression of the disease (using functional and neuropsychological measures, as well as biomarkers) and the different perspectives of disease progression provided by different modalities;
how we assess response to interventions.
To provide formal and informal networking opportunities.
To create a translational and educational segment for the audience-at-large.
