  1. This is very interesting for a variety of reasons: 1. It may shed additional light on the processing of APP, 2. Hart and others have suggested that glycosylation may be reciprocal to phosphorylation - they share many similar potential sites and 3. Although glycosylation has traditionally been considered to protect proteins from proteolysis, here is a paper that suggests otherwise.
