Nice paper. It contributes to emerging evidence that the PI3K/Akt/GSK-3 pathway is central to the regulation of tau phosphorylation. That presenilins regulate this pathway (through cadherin signaling) liks it to Alzheimer disease (AD) and provides further support for the theory that this pathway may directly impact on the development of AD neuropathology.
