  1. This is an interesting contribution to knowledge about common properties of cytotoxic amyloid species. Fluorescence of the compound ANS is related to a protein "to which it is bound undergoing transition from unfolded to fully or partially folded states". The conclusion to be drawn from this work is that the state of folding may be related to the toxicity of Aβ species
