  1. The predictive value of amyloid deposits in persons without frank dementia continues to be an area of intense research interest. This study of amyloid PET imaging in persons with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is an important contribution. If these results are corroborated in other studies, they will provide convincing evidence that amyloid deposition is a manifestation of pre-clinical Alzheimer disease.
