This is an excellent review for those interested in the role of obesity, insulin resistance, and diabetes in AD. This is an important research area as the population ages and obesity and diabetes are on the rise. The explanation of terms such as glucose intolerance, diabetes, insulin sensitivity and adiposity is very helpful. The review is a pleasure to read and the different aspects are well integrated. I also liked the chapter on caveats in epidemiological studies linking diabetes and AD. In conclusion, I highly recommend this timely review.
