REAGENTS/MATERIAL:
Western blot was utilized to assess total tau with rabbit anti-human total tau (DAKO),
and tau phosphorylated at Ser396 with rabbit anti-tau phos Ser396 (Biosource/Invitrogen).
We examined brain synaptophysin levels by western blot using
anti-synaptophysin (Chemicon).
The amount of dityrosine crosslinked Aβ (Barnham et al., 2004) was assayed using mouse monoclonal anti-dityrosine (1C3) (Dr. Yoji Kato, Himeji Institute of Technology, Himeji, Japan),
We assesed soluble oligomeric Aβ by western blots probed with rabbit oligomer-specific anti-Aβ A11
(Kayed et al., 2003) (gift from Dr. Charles Glabe, University of California at Irvine, USA),
APP by western blots using mouse monoclonal anti-APP (22C11) (Chemicon),
and total Aβ by western blots using mouse monoclonal anti-Aβ (WO2),
6E10 and
4G8
