To be eligible to participate in this study, you must:

1. be 18 years or older;

2. be a current or former primary caregiver of a familymember living with Alzheimer's disease.

Participation in this study will consist of a brief telephone interview toassess eligibility for the study. Once you are found eligible, it will requirecompletion of a brief demographic survey and an individual interview that isestimated to take up to one hour. The interviews may be arranged in person orover the telephone/Skype.

Couples Needed for Alzheimer’s Study

The Relationship Research Lab at the Department of Psychology at the University of Waterloo is seeking couples toparticipate in a research study that looks at different aspects of yourrelationship with your partner (e.g., your communication and your relationshipsatisfaction).

Eligibility:
• Couples who are married, or who have been living together as if married forat least 20 years.
• One partner must be over 65 years old with Alzheimer’s disease.
• Both partners speak English and read English at least at a grade 8 level.
• Both partners must be willing to participate.

Participation involves couples completing questionnaires in separate rooms, andhaving two videorecorded discussions with your partner about your relationship.The session takes approximately three hours. In appreciation for your timecommitment, each couple will receive $100 after the lab session.
